Today's worlds is made up of Fashion & glamour. So, how can our eyes are escape from this? Smoky eyes might not be the best for working in an office building but it's a kind of todays fashion. This dark-eyed look can bring men to their knees if done correctly. All you need is a little practice and you’ll be able to apply smoky eye shadow in minutes.The key to the perfect smoky eye is proper blending. Important thing is that to pair light base colors with rich dark colors.

Material for Smokey Eyes :


  • Eyeliner.
  • 2 Shadows: One light, One darker.
  • Makeup brushes.
  • Mascara.
  • Eye primer (optional).
  • Translucent base powder.

Smoky Eye Shadow Application Technique:

  • Gather a material like Eyeliner, 2 Shadows: One light, one darker, Makeup brushes, Mascara,Translucent base powder etc.
  • Use a soft pencil eyeliner(black or gray ) to make a thick line around eyes & trace your top lashline from the inner corner to the outer. Be sure to make the line a bit thicker on the outer corners of the top eye lids.Use the same pencil to make dot between lower lashes.

Use eye shadow to feel softer look. With the help of finger rub a shimmery gray eye shadow across upper eye lids and just past the crease of eyes.

Step 4

  • Be sure brush placed at right angle as you apply eye shadow to the outer edge of the base. This will help you be more precise with application and keep the same line as the base itself.

Step 5

  • Use a separate brush for the highlighting. Apply the darkest color along your lashes. Use a middle finger to smear it up.

Step 6

  • Last but not least,Add a eye liner and mascara like black to upper and lower lashes to complete the sultry look.

Tips for Smokey Eyes:

  1. Remember to keep lips nude. When applying strong makeup (like smoky eyes ) put the focus on either eyes or lips, never both.
  2. Keep your eyes smoky but stay away from dark browns and black.
  3. Eye shadows make some of the best eyeliners,either you can use Eyeliner. It is necessary for smoky eye.

Side-effects of smoky Eyes:

  1. Material used for makeup if it was not good then it will affect your eyes.
  2. Sensitive skin may face some skin related problem like rash.
  3. Higher chemical cosmetics may affect on your lenses.
